ONE SURE STEP TO A MIRACLE.
By Merit Gogo-fyneface
Most times, I find myself singing uncontrollably from my heart even in public spaces and I just can’t stop.

I worship with my whole heart. If you saw me in church, you might easily mistake me for someone who is drunk. I don’t care. I worship as if I am already living years into the future God has promised me through His Word, revelations, and promises.
I never care about who is watching, what I am wearing, or any of the prideful sentiments that keep us bound as humans. For my Maker, I am ready to stand barefoot on the ground and let my finest clothes get soaked from the intensity of spiritual exercise.
One fateful day, I was determined to attend service despite every obstacle that surfaced. I arrived and, in my usual manner, danced wholeheartedly to the glory of my Heavenly King. At one point, I became completely lost in worship. I couldn’t tell what was happening around me; all I knew was that I was worshipping from the absolute depths of my heart—a raw, personal offering to my Maker. The few times I opened my eyes, I caught people staring with expressions that showed they didn’t understand.
It is routine for me to pour out my heart in the privacy of my home, so why should I act reserved in public, as if the Lord hasn’t been good to me? No one else could ever do what He has done for me, and I refuse to be ungrateful.
I danced for as long as the choir led high praise. When the congregation sat down for announcements, I took my seat too, but then something extraordinary happened.
The moment I sat, I felt a powerful sensation on the exact spot where I had suffered from long-standing pain—a chronic discomfort I had previously resolved to pray over the next time an atmosphere of miracles was present. Suddenly, a surge like lightning passed through that spot and vanished as quickly as it came.
From that second onward, the pain was completely gone. I was healed. I was filled with joy realizing that God met me in the precise moment I stopped focusing on my problems and gave myself entirely to praise.
He can do the exact same for you.
God loves us deeply and desires that we worship Him in spirit and in truth. Consider what would have happened if I had let those initial obstacles keep me away from His presence that day.
As you move forward, strive to remain:
- Pure: Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, making no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts (Romans 13:14).
- In His Presence: Remember that mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord (Psalm 97:5). Worship in spirit and truth, giving thanks with your whole heart in the assembly of the upright (Psalm 111:1), because wholehearted praise is a proven doorway to miracles.
May God bless you abundantly.
